In a world without internet...this story would have taken six months to fall apart. The national media would have owned the story and GW would have lost 5 percent of his votes within two weeks.

There is no doubt that internet can now square wrongs within 48 hours...and lay corrupt news organizations on the side of the road. Dan Rather's career just got flushed by the internet. Just think where we would be if this was 1989 and no internet?

My advice to Dan Rather is to do exactly what Clinton did. Announce chest pain immediately. Clinton was smart enough to do it before this hit the fan, but better late than never.
