I did call Micheal on his cell phone, told him we had found his request on the Veterans For Peace web site ...

Hemmed and hawed a bit, denied he was looking for "bad news" about recruiting, though he had no answer when I challenged him about calling a "antiwar" group looking for "positive news" military on recruiting.

I reminded of my son's good USAF recruiting experiences, and he admitted that the Navy and USAF had "no problems."

I thought about, but chose NOT to recommend he call Dan Rather and borrow a typewriter to write up his expose.
