My feeling is that cbs will try to "clinton" this story out. That is stick w/ it and ignore all evidence to the contrary.

The coming test is going to be whether or not FR and the rest of conservative media can drive them to ground, tree them like a coon, and shine a flash light attached to a 30-06 in their eyes.

That no longer matters. What this story demonstrates is that the quality of the news on the web is infinitely better then what is available from the dinosaur media. They can say, think, or do whatever they want; they are in the tar pit and sinking fast.

Yep. Run the story as long as they can before massive, overwhelming* evidence states otherwise.

Political translation - run story to influence Joe-six pack whom gets their 30 minutes per day of news from the MSM. If they hear it from CBS Dan Rather, then it's gospel. Imprint is made and, much harder to remove.

*Overwhelming - as defined by liberals.

CBS can’t ignore the story because their competition won’t let them. The instinct to destroy the competition will prove to be stronger then loyalty for the Kerry campaign.
