Now they're not being spit upon and shouted down. We'll never forget but we can put a troubled era to rest, hopefully, finally.
As far as my statement about time. I should have said further that it was John Kerry who started all of this with his testamony. It is now John Kerry who has caused this to surface again for a full hearing from the same men that he stole their voice.
John Fraud Kerry should be right beside her.
Thanks for the ping. It just chokes me up how these people were so abused by sKerry and his gang then and now they are having trouble getting the media-wing of the DNC (MSM) to even report this news.
Oh gosh....you are very nice. Thanks!
I have seen him twice and he is due back here again soon. It's fun to see him in a rally because the entire place lights up with enthusiasm. If you get the chance....go! :) Make Sam go! :)
You are welcome. I am anxious to see the film. Our vets (especially those who were POW's) deserve the best of America. We have still not given them their due, and the least we can do is allow them to have their say!!!
There is a documentary called "Viet Nam, the Ten Thousand Day War"that played on PBS years ago, and the one statement that stood out was the N Vietnamese honcho saying the people wanted to give up because of the bombing, but they knew the protesters( Jane and John) were going to wear down the politicians in the US so they hung in there.
All these years we have put up with "Full Metal Jacket", "Apocalypse Now", "Platoon", type movies where the soldiers were rapist, dopers, that were weasels. "We Were Soldiers" was a begining, but that's 1 movie. The impression still remains that Viet Nam was a mistake, fought by idiots and criminals.
The discussion going on now is long overdue and should continue even after the election. Beating Kerry and humiliating him is a start to reconciliation for our long overdue parade that they earned. If it is proven that Kerry is a weasel that lied to get his medals, and got a discharge less than honorable, That is as good as a marching band to me.
I frequently thank GOD that my brother came home alive. GOD Bless our POW's.
The Vets and the POWs are duing there part
Our brave men and women in the sevices are doing their part
We here at home must do our part and make sure that George W. Bush is re-elected Nov 2. We must all turn into Broken Glass Republicans.
Bought the video... looking forward to seeing it.
Fifty-seven trombones led this big parade
Followed by two hundred sixty Swifty vets
They were followed by POW's in rows and ranks
The nation's finest who finally get our thanks
Modestly in place was our President
Leading Viet veterans by the score
The Stars and Stripes were everywhere
Waving proudly past the cheering crowd galore
Fifty-seven trombones hit the counter point
While we Freepers lined the streets by the score
Thundering, thundering all the way
The rhythm of "harch, harch, harch" made us roar.
LET'S MAKE SURE THESE VETS GET THEIR GRAND PARADE!
Leni
But, I read today that the Sinclair company were getting notice from their advertisers that they were uncomfortable about Sinclair's decision to air the tape.
Folks, these dispicable liberals will stop at nothing in their attempt to shut this down.
We simply cannot let these POW's/Veterans down. Contact Sinclair and let them know how appreciative you are that they are taking the side of our heroes.
pass this around - I just lost the thread, but it is a goodie!!!
