How's this?

No job, no hospital care other than life-and-death urgent, no public schooling or in-state rates for college, and heavy fines for anyone employing them. If you want to get really tough, heavy fines for anyone RENTING to non-visa'ed non-residents.

This way, you don't lift a finger to find or chase the illegals. And you make good revenue fining the employers.

Hence the real issue is not the rule of law, but something else. And by the way, the proposal which President Bush outlined does not legalize those who are in the country already, in spite of what the Goering branch of the Know-Nothings claims.

Didn't take you long to pull the card CJ.

The problem is that people in Washington talk primarily to other people in Washington. And in Washington today, almost to the core, they have accepted the Leftwing environmentalist concept that the social environment determines how people perform, how they think, etc.. Thus you have the absurd idea--and the evidence that it is an absurd idea to anyone who will open their eyes is massive--that the social environment can basically remake people.

This leads to the delusion that America can absorb virtually limitless numbers of people from outside the roots of its traditional population without damage to our institutions and culture. But since people make their social environment, not the other way around, this delusion will very rapidly change the very nature of America--in many areas, it already has. California 40% Mestizo will be a radically different State than California 10% Mestizo, and all the wishful thinking in the world will not prevent the change.

This is not to insult the Mexicans. It is rather the "Liberal" who insults both us and them by assuming a degree of plasticity that simply does not exist. It is the sickness called "Liberalism," that would imagine us all characterless putty, which is the ultimate enemy of every species of mankind. No, I will not join with those who want to disparage the Mexicans as a people. But I will oppose the nonsense that would disolve our borders and pretend that we and they are interchangeable.

I see it as not only very realistic, but imperative. Round 'em up and boot 'em out. The sooner the better.

How's this?

No person (herein referred to as "Sponsor") shall secure any public funded assistance for another individual (herein referred to as "Recipient") without that Sponsor being:

1) a parent or legal guardian of said Recipient as defined by the courts of U.S. jurisdiction, and
2) a citizen or legal immigrant of the United States of America.

No Sponsor shall be deemed eligible for publicly funded assistance services for a minimum of twenty quarters from the date of having last sponsored any Recipient. No Recipient may become Sponsor to another Recipient until the minimum twenty quarter period from the date of having last been themselves classified as a "Recipient" has expired.

Exceptions shall be limited only to emergency conditions and shall be supplied only to the extent necessary such as to avoid, prevent, or halt an impending greater personal or bodily harm to any Sponsor or Recipient.

Good! You have to get rid of the last sentence. "Personal or bodily harm" is too interpretable. Just leave it out. ERs have to treat true emergencies, anyway.

It is very sad that some kids will have to die from the flu, and I guess lots of people will be mugged by the teens on the streets during school hours, but it will take about 6 months and they will all realize things are better for them in THEIR OWN COUNTRIES.
