Kerry/CBS may have gotten away with this if they simply pulled out an old typewriter, and added a few typos and whiteout ink...Next time they'll know how to do it better. Expect to see more tricks like this pulled in the not-so-distant future, possibly including additional "records" from Kerry. ("But it has to be authentic. See? There's the White-Out!" - invented 1951 by Bessie Nesmith -- if it's a pre-1950s document, be suspicious.)

Hey, just FYI, the redacted (blacked out) address for 1LT Bush on one of the memos on the CBS site is readable as:
1LT Bush
5000 Longmont #8
Houston, TX
77034
I don't know what is there now, but that address does exist. I wonder if a Houston Freeper could discover if this address could be bogus?????

That is an address where Bush lived one or two years before the memo. He had moved from that address to a different one.
The address question's been dealt with in some of the other threads.

CBS is standing by their story, saying it was based on more than just the docs.
If you take away the docs, they have Barnes, who has been discredited because he wasn't Lt Gov at the time he said he was, and a bunch of anonymous sources. These sources seem to be saying that, in their opinion, the docs say what they think Killian would have said, if he wrote the docs.
Those closest to Killian, his wife and son, disagree. But CBS never interviewed them.
Yellow journalism at its lowest.
