Serious question: is there anyone that still thinks it was possible that these documents were created in 1972? I ask not to flame or harrass, but seriously to inquire as this morning (yes, it seems like light years ago to those of us who have literally followed this all day -- between trying to do our job) there were a few familiar with the IBM Executive and other typewriters with proportional fonts that suggested the documents they saw could have been written at a Guard post in the '70s.
I don't think there's any question now that these are fakes, but I am still interested in those that might think otherwise for legitimate reasons (i.e., not wishful thinking).
Also, a lot was mentioned with the line breaks. Was there any other discussion about the distance between lines? They lined up about 100% vs. new documents created today in Word, but I don't now recall anyone mentioning that the vertical distance between the lines could or could not have been similar.

My guess is Kitty Kelly is behind this.
My money is on Barnes and somebody in the Lurch campaign.
I would think that the Hildebeast, while certainly capable of doing something like this, would be cunning enough not to do something that could be traced back to her.
Lurch's people ain't that smart, however.
First thing I would have noticed right off the bat is the signature block is wrong :

AF signature blocks are always:
NAME, RANK, AFFILATE (IE USAF, TXANG, AFRES, etc)
TITLE
I wouldn't rule out Opus the Penguin (in Bloom County)...as I recall, he wrote a forged diary back when the supposed Hitler Diaries were in the news in the early 1980s.

Given the seeming amateurish nature of the forgeries, it appears the real purpose of the forgeries was indeed to be uncovered - and to embarrass Kerry.
My money is on the Clintons and a couple of their sleazy private detective contacts as the culprits. The documents surface just as the Clinton cronies get involved in key positions in the Kerry campaign. The old Trojan horse operation. When the forgeries are quickly discovered, it makes Kerry look bad - potentially torpedoing his campaign. This might just clear Kerry out of the way for Hillary to get the nomination in 2008.
Interesting that Clinton told Kerry to stay off of Vietnam while in the hospital. Then, coincidentally, his cronies take over Kerry campaign AND then the Boston Globe and Dan Rather coincidentally resurrect a defunct story? My money is on the Clintons.

I'm not sure that the World Health Organization faked this.
The big story is how a bunch of peons on a blog were able to figure this out and a major network worth billions of dollars -- (well, millions now) -- couldn't figure out they were being duped.

I saw some guy on Scarborough that started some Texas group that opposes Bush that has made it's own ad about the Bush guard service. My guess is that this is the guy.
