Karl Rove, I knew this was him. Yep and he also saddled the DNC with Kerry. He is really devious.

From NRO's "Corner" today:
PREDICTION! [Jonah Goldberg]
If they turn out to be forgeries, expect the Salonish types to very quickly float the idea that Karl Rove orchestrated the whole thing to make the anti-Bush side look desperate.

Frankly these letters are so badly done Im almost starting to wonder if someone pulled a French Yellowcake on the Dems to make them look this stupid (but then they are stupid for not checking these out better in the first place)

Most people frighten small children in to behaving by telling them that the Boogeyman will get them. Democrats frighten their children by telling them that Karl Rove will get them!

As a former Marine Officer, I cannot countenance a military officer writing in this style for official documents. I may not have insight into the AFNG, but generally military correspondence is written in 3rd person passive voice.
The 4 May "Memorandum FOR 1st Lt. ..." is highly irregular. You don't use Memorandums for orders, you use orders for orders.
Of course the font is something I never saw on a typewriter and this is more than 10 years before I served. I think somebody passed these blatant forgeries off to embarrass the Kerry campaign. I don't it was the Bush campaign that did it.

And you know what? Bill Clinton delayed his bypass surgery to make the media pay attention to him immediately after the convention to take away the news of the convention, too!
...wait a minute, that one might actually be true!...

If this pans out as true - DNC and Kerry campaign put the document sources in touch with CBS, Mr. Kerry will struggle to hold 40% of the vote in November.
