I like this little tidbit of information:
Connell (Killian's widow) said Killian did not type, and though he did take notes, they were usually on scraps of paper. "He was a person who did not take copious notes," she said. "He carried everything in his mind."
I smell the stench of the clintons! If these were real, they would have come out 4 years ago. I'm sick and tired of the Bush bashing that's going on. I hope the rats behind these lies and deceptions rot in hell.
You have a good point after deflection from Kerry; I'm not real happy about it, but it's a good point that needs to be mentioned. :-)
So much for "Texans for Truth" ?
Ah, but how easily you forget the statistical exposure Freepers offered regarding the Gore/Buchanan mistakes vote forgers made in Floriduh ... and the media was given full read on the material but chose to ignore and spin it! Don't assume the corrupt alphabet networks will suddenly feel they owe the viewers truth if it will harm the media's chosen liberal punks!
Dan Rather: Admiral Boorda shot himself for less.
LOL!
And they FINALLY show W in a JET. Looking like the PILOT he was. That must kill the folks at ABC.
'Connell (Killian's widow) said Killian did not type"
According to CBS News, he not only knew how to type but also could perfectly center proportional font.
I can assure you (all) that very credible expert witnesses exist who can testify to the identity and availability of this font on office equipment...people who spent years designing, drawing and editing fonts, bit by loving bit, for impact printers, for phototypesetting systems, and for the laser- and inkjet-printer printers that followed. The set of reasons given above for claiming this is not a 1973 office font is just the beginning.
I just read another thread where they suggested that when CBS sent those documents to the WH and the WH went ahead and released them, the WH might have been laughing knowing they would be discredited. I suppose it is very possible.
Released when?
I don't think you are right for this reason....
Last night (or the night before) I heard a report that President Bush got very upset with the Pentagon because he had given authorization to release all of the records long ago. They released everything and then a little while back they found more records and released them. The newspeople made hay out of his having withheld those records.
OK, so now we hear that he gets upset because more records came up after he had told them to release everything. CBS had gotten the memos and faxed them to the WH prior to going on air with the story. The WH released them. All 4 records were reported by CBS as being newly discovered records released by the WH. I believe they are talking about the fact that the WH released them after CBS faxed them to the WH. And I think it was done the night before last when the WH said Bush was upset that all documents had not been given to the media previously. These were not documents in his possession. He left it to the Pentagon to release the entire file months ago.
At least this is what I believed happened. If you have evidence or beliefs otherwise, I would love to hear it. :)

Not sure when released.
OK, you go throught that packet and find them for me. There is nothing in that packet dated later than 1970. There are some documents signed by Killian, but not any of the 4 documents in question. Could you please look and verify? :) Sorry, but I don't see what you are talking about.
I went to CBS News Website and sent them this:
Dan Rather should resign, and if he won't, he should be fired.
His bungling incompetence at being duped by a bunch of clumsy forgeries shows he has no credibility.
His rush to try and stick it to the President without a cursory checking of his facts shows he has no judgement.
And the fact that the internet unmasked the entire scam in less than 24 hours shows he has no intelligence.
He has singled handed turned CBS News into an irrelevance.
Good Riddance, fortunately today we have reliable alternative sources where we can find the truth.
Go here and you will notice all of the documents in question are listed with the others. Notice that all but those 4 say "released by the WH"

btw...that was the document link from the usatoday site
You're confusing documents. The ones the WH got upset about not being previously found and released were uncovered by AP under a FOIA request - they were records that no-one thought were kept and never bothered to look where they did turn up. THiose AP documents were discussed several days ago, selectively written up in the Boston Globe, but basicaly do not shoe W in a bad light.
These CBS documents were not released by the Pentagon, but obviously created but some stupid rat.
Outstanding research by ABC news...
