False Documentation? (Killian's widow says docs "very suspect" per ABC)
ABC News web site ^ | 9/9/04

Sept. 9, 2004 — Questions are being raised about the authenticity of newly discovered documents relating to George W. Bush's service in the National Guard during the Vietnam War.

Marjorie Connell — widow of the late Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, the reported author of memos suggesting that Bush did not meet the standards for the Texas Air National Guard — questioned whether the documents were real.

"The wording in these documents is very suspect to me," she told ABC News Radio in an exclusive phone interview from her Texas home. She added that she "just can't believe these are his words."

Yeah...can't wait to hear Harkin squirm out of this one...Unfortunatly, he'll just deny what he said and move on to the next talking point.
The question is...will the MSM feel pressure to go harder on the Dems after this?

The White House is declining to comment on the veracity of the documents.

I'm starting too see the possibility of a brilliant plan to dupe Sandy Berger and reveal a Dem mole in the White House staff. CBS would never suspect that Berger was feeding false information, now would they? HeHeHe - Yeeeesssss!

"Captain Dan and SeeBS were either a.) the unwitting (and gullible) victims of a hoax or b.) the witting (and biased) perpetrators of a fraud. "

Either way they're guilty of blatant bias, because even if they were "unwitting" they rushed the story to try and knock the momentum out from under the President as he was pulling ahead in all the polls. No consequence they face could be too severe.

It's about time one of these ne-ked emperors was exposed.

"Her late husband was a fan of the young Bush, said Connell, who remarried after her husband died in 1984. "I know for a fact that this young man … was an excellent aviator, an excellent person to be in the Guard, and he was very happy to have him become a member of the 111th."

What a great quote that the conspirators certainly never intended to be part of this story!!

When I think of the smirking faces of McAuliffe and the other slimers just this morning! Who could have thought this whole thing could have possibly gone this well so fast??

And committed Freepers working through the night when duty called have a great deal to do with it.

Thank you all, My Fellow Americans!

No, I don't think they can. If, they really, honestly accept their motive(s) in this, their whole world view of reality becomes suspect to scrutiny. Their faith in Liberalism would just crumble from that Light. Better to live in denial and pride than have to reconstruct the shattered leggos of the false god. (basically what Kahn said so Kirk - in ST #2). But hey... I've got a 3 mil candle power spot in the car. Hold on I'll go get it...... Cheers Cheers

I am so glad you noticed this, too. I posted a couple times today about the self-satisfied smiling I saw on several dems today. Richard Goodstein speaking with Shep Smith today was positively beaming as he assured the clueless Smith that Bush was now a proven liar and besides, he was a rich boy who had gotten favors all his privileged life. I wanted to smack his smug face.

From the article:

More than half a dozen document experts contacted by ABC News said they had doubts about the memos' authenticity.

I am pleased that ABC is reporting this. Since we are familiar with the way MSM works, here is what just occurred to me:

I'll bet ABC set out to debunk the "absurd" notion that these documents were forged, (I was skeptical myself). Once they started contacting experts and one after the other (at least 7, since they note "over half a dozen") informed them of the problems with the documents, ABC really had no choice but to report what they had found. Otherwise ABC ran the risk the experts could eventually reveal they'd been contacted by the ABC reporter and they'd never reported it. In other words, the plain factual existance of the expert opinions being solicited triumphed. I just don't think ABC set out to report it from that angle.

Well, it is good to see that they went with it.

Holy Cow!

Houston ABC 13 just killed this story. They had 2 local experts who said FAKE, no question. Then they interviewed Killian's son at his house. He said FAKE, no question. Also said his dad didn't type and there should have been initials from a typist.

Then they went to the chairman of the Harris Co. Democratic Party. Yes, Democratic! He said BUSH should call for an investigation to get to the bottom of the memo's. That's right - Bush should call for an investigation.

It was great.

Not only that quote, but for the last few days we've been treated to the fresh and handsome face of a young George Bush in the cockpit and in uniform. Contrast that with film of the face and voice of John Kerry betraying his comrades in Senate testimony, with a crooked finger and the smarmy boarding school accent, talking about rape and pillage. You can't buy that stuff.
