The pulled AP story stated:

Independent document examiner Sandra Ramsey Lines said the memos looked like they had been produced on a computer using Microsoft Word software, not widely available when the documents were supposedly written in 1972 and 1973.

"Not widely available"? Bill Gates hadn't even founded Microsoft in 1972. The first versions of Word for DOS didn't come out until the 1980s.

The military didn't even start using Word Star and Word Perfect until early 80's the only thing available to the military in 1972 was a typewriter or teletype and neither one can produce that font.
