After you submit your vote, you should be able to type in the box and submit your comment. Sometimes it takes a while (15 min, or so) for the comment to show up. They review all of 'em.

Bump. Comment was
I also wouldn't want my 1st ammendment, or 4th ammendment rights modified by Congress and a poll is not the way to examine whether the Bill of Rights should be changed.
The Bill of Rights can only be changed by Constitutional Convention. So anyone who wants to open the Constitution up to abortion bans, protection of marriage rights, and a whole host of things, please call for a Constitutional Convention.

My problem is I never got a box to type in a comment. Might be my firewall or something, I'll go play with it for a bit.

My comment.
As the only ones who will possess assault weapons in the future are criminals I would think that there are other alternatives to be explored first.

submit, yes, but the chances of seeing it posted are slim. You submit and it goes for approval, judging from what is posted, submitting anything in opposition to the ban is somewhat an exercise in futility.

We'rte gaining ground:
Would you support an extention of the federal ban on assault weapons which will expire next week?
Yes

No
127 (48%)
Total Votes: 264
My comment:
Clearly as unconstitutional as McCain-Feingold.
The Constitution is clear. This ill-thought-out "ban" is not.

NO-- I would not support this ban on "so-called" assault weapons.

My "handle" in the comments section is '-The 2nd amendment protects the 1st!'. Looks like most comments above mine are freepers. Way to go!
