I know I've seen the question asked, but I haven't been here for more than an hour.

What happens if you scan in a document and then convert it to a PDF?

Could it change the fonts? I only have the Adobe reader and can't check it myself by creating a document.

That still doesn't explain the superscript though. Nor does it explain the exact centering that you find on MS Word.

Fwiw- my experience has been that pdf files faithfully recreate (if that's the right word) the fonts in the original document. RG

The fonts don't matter, Killian's widow says that Killian couldn't type.

Connell said Killian did not type, and though he did take notes, they were usually on scraps of paper. "He was a person who did not take copious notes," she said. "He carried everything in his mind."
