MSNBC's Keith Olbermann Outs Himself as Someone 'Who Didn't Vote for Cheney' (Kerry lover)
MRC ^ | 9/8/04

Posted on 09/09/2004 1:15:52 PM PDT by Cableguy

In the midst of kvetching Tuesday night over Vice President Dick Cheney's remark about the danger of electing Kerry/Edwards, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann outed himself as someone "who didn't vote for Mr. Cheney." Before accusing Cheney of "terrorizing people," Olbermann insisted that he "tries not to knee jerk everything based on left and right." He needs to try harder.

On Countdown, Olbermann played this clip from Cheney at a town meeting in Iowa: "If we make the wrong choice, and the danger is, that we'll get hit again. That we'll be hit in a way that will be devastating from the standpoint of the United States."

Olbermann then posed this is his first question to guest David Dreier, a Republican Congressman from California who appeared with liberal Democrat Bill Press: "As a citizen who didn't vote for Mr. Cheney, but still thinks of him as my Vice President, and tries not to knee jerk everything based on left or right, I simply can't believe he got up and told voters, essentially, elect Kerry and we'll get hit again and maybe we'll get hit in a way that will be devastating. How is that statement by Mr. Cheney by itself not invoking and essentially doing the work of terrorizing people?"

I'snt Oberman the sarcastic, but witty host , who bounces from network to network. Last I checked he was doing a sports show on Fox NY.

This whole story is a lie. I wonder if Drier was informed enough to call Olberman out on taking Cheney's statement out of context.

Geesh, that's like when George Michael (WHAM) was busted diddling some dude in a public toilet and everyone was shocked that he was actually gay. Theatre of the obsurdly obvious.

He had another program on MSNBC during the impeachment. He used to mock the whole thing each night.

Imagine Kerry is President; we get hit again; he makes a decision to do something; respond in some fashion. All they have to do is to hit us again; he'll change his mind and decide on another response. The we get hit again and he changes his mind again. All they have to do is time their hits while he's thinking; since has shown himself to be so indecisive.

That question has been answered by Hanoi John. He is on the stump telling the American people how the money spent on the war in Iraq would have been better spent for health care, education, etc.

Sheesh that guy is walking cardboard. He make "Bert" on Sesame Street seem like Elvis. I can't watch that show without going comatose.

The biggest news Olberman ever made was when Chuck Knoblauch accidentily threw the ball in the stands and pegged Keith's mother in the head during the World Series. Besides that he is a natural born loser

Earlier this week I had an e-mail exhange with the little O in which I informed him that the research in his field now shows that journalists and journalism are heavily tilted toward the left. I noted there were now academic studies of individual article bias; subject selection bias; "code word" bias; and "framing" bias.

He very snottily wrote back that "in his experience there were more examples of conservatives dictating stories than I had studies." I told him that anecdotal evidence means nothing. Was he interested in the studies?

He next didn't answer, but charged me with being a "right winger" and that he "wrote all his own stuff," which, interestingly, I had not even brought up. I told him that explained his ratings.

He then shot back that MSNBC's ratings were up 50%, and I said 50% of zero is still zero. Where are you relative to Fox? Oh, and do you even want to KNOW about the studies?

Rather than answer, he responded by telling me that "Dan Patrick said the University of Dayton isn't even a University."

I told him I may not have any problem with that claim, but was he interested in the actual studies of liberal bias?

He quit responding. However, I do have a lib at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer going really well---we are on about the fourth exchange, and I figure every minute I keep him away from the public is a service to my fellow man.

Let Microsoft know that because THEY have their name associated with NBC / MSNBC / MSN that you will not only not buy their products in the future, but that many of the great opensource (i.e. FREE) products below that work as Microsoft replacements will be promoted.

U.S.-based news media needing information on topics not specifically addressed in the list below should contact the Waggener Edstrom Rapid Response Team at

rrt@wagged.com

or 503-443-7070.

Additional PR contacts can be seen here (do NOT accept any excuses, THEY SUPPORT MSNBC AND NOTHING BUT STOPPING THE REPUBLICAN BASHING IS ACCEPTABLE. PERIOD!!)

http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/contactpr.asp

There's a VERY easy way to stop MUCH of the MSNBC garbage, simply notify Microsoft that because of their financial and name support of a corrupt, anti-Republican media organization that you are going into openly publicizing freeware replacements to their software products.

First, Lobby the Republican Party and the Republican party faithful (including business) to stop supporting Bill Gates.

OS - Linux

MS Office replacement

WEB Server products

Linux Applications (many are free)

Kerry has said that if he is President, he will respond to any terrorist attack quickly and forcefully. In other words, Kerry has said he will wait until we are attacked before he responds to terrorism.

"Rather than answer, he responded by telling me that "Dan Patrick said the University of Dayton isn't even a University.""

If that is the case, I may havwe a way out of paying my student loans. Of course, I would also have to hand back my law license but that would be a benefit to getting rid of the debt. /sarcasm

What the hell kind of answer is that? Where did Olbermann go to college, assuming he did?
