Look, ol' Dan may just have signed CBS off as a reliable news source. And he may have done so trying to earn a place in liberofascist mythology as the newsboy who did in President GWB. He figured we were just too stupid to figure some of these things out. The MSM acts as if the internet doesn't exist, where one can do alot of research and unearth the truth.
