I spoke with a sister in San Francisco this weekend. A heretofore rabid Bush hater, she only wanted to dump on Kerry and repeated several times what a weakling he was. I even made a few remarks defending Kerry to see how deep her feelings ran.

Two things changed her mind, the Russian school house slaughter and the Republican convention. She has a young daughter and said she would not trust Kerry with her life. She also said that with Bush you know what you are getting. He does what he thinks is right. From our conversation I think she has crossed the line from withholding her vote from Kerry to casting it for President Bush.

I pray she's part of a trend.
