March for Morons...The chant goes up...

The leader says.."What do we want ?"

The group says..."I don't know !!!"

The leader says.."When do we want it ?"

The group says..."Now !"

Repeat six times, then retire to a seedy bar to bathe in each other's reflected (if somewhat tarnished and unwashed) glory of the march and to praise each other for the brilliance of the action. The leader brings out a book on Marxist discourse and offers tee-shirts of Che for Fifty Bucks a pop. The group runs off to the closest ATM and withdraws some money from the credit card they were given for their birthday by their parents. Fearless leader pockets cash quickly and tells group that it is going to be donated to an orphanage in Cuba, bids his revolutionary farewell, gives the salute and slinks off to a strip joint.

"I'm was born and bred New Yorker, who was raised to trust And think kindly of the police.Yes,there always have been a few bad apples, but most have always been wonderful, valiant men."

I grew up the same way, which is one big reason why I'm here now I guess..LOL. Whenever you get 30-40,000 people together there are always going to be people that shouldn't be a part of it all, whether its for corruption or cowardice. While the latter is obviously more of a concern to me regarding my own personal safety, I'm happy to see how much progress has been made towards making the department more professional in all aspects. "Serpico" was on the other night, and I just couldn't imagine the things I saw. I'm sure somewhere in the department there is some scam going on, but I haven't seen anything I would be ashamed of whatsoever.

I'll tell you one thing, I have been both scared and amused to degrees I never imagined and praised like a saint one minute while getting cursed like the devil himself the next.

"Never fair to paint with a broad brush, I know, but the leadership of the movements drag their members through the dirt they disturb."

I can imagine. Our union leans democrat locally, because they control the money and the republican candidates have no prayer of winning. I was happy to hear that the Sergeants Benevolent Association endorsed the president this year, and I hope the Police Benevolent Association goes the same way. Either way, guys are going to vote for Bush from what I've seen.

I've been to a few union-related demonstrations, and the best advice I got was "Their jobs are their lives so be on the ball". Basically, you have to exercise a lot of caution when you're mixed up in something that diresctly affects someone's family.

No offence to unions and their members. The working man and woman must be protected. A fair days work deserves a fair days pay. My post was having a go at the pretend protesters that often appear in public places.

"The whole Clinton machine must be exorcised from the American body politic. It is a danger to the entire world. IMHO."

No argument with that view here.

THE EXORCIST EXERCISES

"Bubba's" fat ass will never be the same.

Bill Clinton:

Can I have a side order of fries with that Big Mac? And da ya think ya might be able to super-size it?

McDonald's employee:

Sir, do you really think that's wise?

Bill Clinton:

Hey, who's the former president here, Buster?(!)
