Having once had pyelonephritis that revealed my kidney destruction, that was my first question, Aqua.

Kevin said there was no fever - no nausea - urinalysis and labs showed nothing extraordinary.
I would hazard a guess it is a pinched nerve/s, and thus perhaps a disk problem?
He plays football for his high school - wide receiver.

If nothing else is dispositive, I hope they will consider trying to map the blood circulation to his brain.

I don't know if there are any standard symptoms of such things as aneurisms, but it would be reassuring to eliminate yet another possibility.

Prayers and crossed fingers for all. (Actually, I think it's helping my typing...)

That could be it, football is a rough game.
I'll keep him in my prayers.
