I have contributed to the Swift Boat Vets on two different occasions. Today, when I opened my e-mail, there was a thank you note from them, along with news of upcoming ads they will be running. I clicked on the link to contribute again. As I look back, I realize the form didn't look the same and I never looked at the header. (my mistake) However, I filled it out and contributed $50.00.
When the completed form popped up, I nearly had a heart attack!! I had contrubuted $50.00 to the Democrat National Party, complete with John Kerry's picture. I immediately called my credit card company to have it removed. I was told I must wait until I receive the bill to dispute the "contribution".
To those of you who will be contributing to the Swift Boat Veterans, PLEASE BEWARE the Democrats have a little pop up scam going. I will making phone calls in the morning to alert radio talk shows et al if this outrageous SCAM.

That should be illegal as hell. Seems like fraud to me.
post the email with full headers (remove your email address if you like).
Call your credit card company NOW and demand they cancel the transaction.

I don't think the Swift Boat E-mail was a fraud. I believe the dems have their form as a pop up when you click to contribute to the Swiftees. After I had done it, I found the other window open for the Swift Boat Veterans.

Did you reveive acknowledgment when you donated the first 2 times? I donated and did not receive any notice back.
I got the same Email, saying the same thing and clicked on the link. It looked like the same site and page that I had used before. I contributed again and no picture of Kerry came up. I hope it was the real Swift Boat site. How did they get my name if it was not?

I have received notices of thanks each time. I did contrubite to them AFTER I got scammed by the DNC. I immediately received a thank you. I have not received a thank you from the DNC. FIGURES.
It is fraud and if proven can carry stiff penalties for the DNC... call a lawyer and report this to your newspaper ASAP.
