What has never surfaced before, reports CBS News Anchor Dan Rather, are four documents from the personal files of Col. Jerry Killian, Mr. Bush's squadron commander. They could help answer lingering questions on whether Lt. Bush received special consideration during his military service.
Why would Bush's files be in Killian's files??
That's the question. They were supposedly non-official memos that his CO kept conterporaneously. How did they come to light just recently? Where have they been? Why did his CO keep personal memos on Bush?
Given that they were not part of the official record, and he is dead now, and therefore unable to give us anymore information, who cares?
