There is absolutely nothing wrong with a Swiftie putting such a pertinent question to Kerry. This incident should be utilized to the hilt - it is a GRAPHIC METAPHOR for the entire Kerry effort to silence the Swifties by any means.

Exactly. Along these lines, Kerry could throw a guy out if he just lived next door to a Swiftie. Kerry could throw out a Swiftie sympathizer and ultimately, he could throw out anyone with a dissenting opinion or anyone daring to question him. Reminds me of the Niemoller (sic) quote about how they came first for this person and then that one but I didn't speak up and then when they came for me, there was no one left to speak up for me...something like that...I keep losing where I saved it on my computer. Sheesh....

"First they came for the Communists, and I didn't speak up, because I wasn't a Communist.

"Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up, because I wasn't a Jew.

"Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up, because I was a Protestant.

"Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one one left to speak up for me."

by Rev. Martin Niemoller, 1945

Thank you, hummingbird, for mentioning this...I had of course heard it numerous times, but knew nothing of the life of the Rev. Niemoller until your comments prompted learning about him.
