My son is a sheet metal worker, in the sheet metal union. For the first time in his life, he is 40, he registered to vote. Registered as a republican. He did not want kerry or edwards to win. He is voting for President Bush. He works in Reno NV but he made sure that he got home to vote in our primary. He keeps his mouth shut at work. He said that there were kerry bumpers stickers, etc all over the union building.

I always say that there's union members and union thugs. The members - those that build the cars, etc, I have no problem with. I know many union MEMBERS who are good people who vote for all parties.
The thugs, usually management - are the problem.
