They didn't like Reagan either. They do not like any American President who openly acts in America's best interest. If an American leader isn't an "internationalist", they become universally despised.

The task for the second term is to get the world back on our side. Even the British population hates him. Which is to say that Geroge w. Bush is not Ronald Reagan. All Europe knows about the US is what they see from Hollywood and CNN.
Europe is like what America used to be - liberal press only.
The French have never heard of the Oil for Food scandal. Not one word. It's not allowed in their press.

I am sorry, I never got the impression that Reagan was hated by more than the 30% you expect to hate anyone but Lenin or Marx. W. has got a good 40% plus against him regardless of how inept and incompetent his challenger might be.
There is a reason that so many people feel so alienated and it is not because of policy.

Of course and they will whine again. I wished the next time they do we would just show them the finger, but I don't think we will

I'm reading a book where the author points out that Geo. Washington's farewell address in which he warned against the US becoming involved in foreign intanglements was intended to warn against the US becoming sucked into in European politics and policies.

I would like to know if any European countries have sent any humanitarian aid for the hurricane victims.

No disrespect to George Washington, but that was back when we didn't have to deal with terrorists flying planes into buildings, or having the ability to cross continents and oceans in matters of hours, not months.

Of course, North Korea and Iran want Kerry to win as well, so therefore we should just conclude that they are all jeolous and hate-America.

The reporter from FNC who was with the president in Florida today reported that the president stayed longer then originally planned and helped handout the cases with the bottled water. You think Kerry would help?
I didn't think so
