Notice the difference in crowd reactions to the two candidates:

Great posts. Does anyone have the photos of Bush throwing off the mound a strike, contrasting with Kerry throwing it in the dirt from in front of the mound at Yankee stadium?

What's the deal with this Buddhist bow crap? Here Kerry is in Greensboro, North Carolina recently:
He jumped up onto a hotel reservation desk in Charlotte a few weeks back, and struck the same pose (I can't locate the pic at the moment, but it was even dorkier than the above).
Is Kerry under the impression that Buddhism is an important demographic in North Carolina? Did a focus group interview convince his handlers that such a pose is well received? Or is it merely an annoying affectation?

No, he's hoping to get a spot as Miss Massachusetts of this campaign thing doesn't pan out.

I sure have. It's arrogant and rude. Wonder if all the pointing sinks in with many voters?

Yes. In fact, John F. Kennedy had the habit of pointing with his left hand forefinger and sawing air with his right hand ("Portrait of a President", Wm. Manchester) I HAVE noticed the constant pointing Kerry does, (havn't watched for the right handed sawing affectation yet); along with the thick Brahmin John Kennedy accent upon his return from his 3 or so months in Vietnam - add to that all the nuances, the thick gray hairdo, the John-John deal with his VP selection, the young rakish athletic posturing. Too bad he can't get Teresa to dye her hair darker and wear a pillbox hat.
