I was there too! It was great. I got there about 11am and had no idea of all the confusion on 63 with cars getting towed! haha I do think it was sloppily planned. Not enough parking places for all the 18,000 tickets they gave out. It was a long day but well worth it. My husband, my sister and my niece were very close to where he was and got to see his face up close. He's a real leader and a real man! No wonder Dumbocrats are trying to destroy him. They never will.
No illusion. There were a LOT of young people there. Not just elementary school kids who went with their folks, but high school and college age kids too.
There was a group of ~10 college kids standing near us, and they were liking what they heard.
My son and several of his friends from high school came out.
Bodes well for the future...
Hey, wait a minute...the demoncrats have been bragging about having all the good-looking babes. Where'd those lovely and gracious young ladies come from?
The guy with the hankie on his head and the beard is supporting Bush? That's a good sign.
Gee, I didn't realize Granpda from The Munsters was still alive!!!
Whoa!
WHen is the next rally and where?!
It has been my amateur opinion that if thousands show up for an event in the blazing heat or freezing cold to see Bush while Kerry is trying to hold the attention of 1/2 attendance capacity (with photographers playing games hiding the lack of turnout) THEN the poll numbers are all wrong.
IMO, landslide Nov 2, 2004.
Poplar Bluff...28k...well, I'll be dipped in chocolate, that's VERY impressive. Do they even have 28k in that county? One thing's for sure, that area is Bush country.
To be fair, W drew large crowds in 2000 while Gore had to bus in supporters. Anecdotal events like this are great, but don't base the election on it. Too much disappointment last time.
