Absolutely true: pride still "goeth before a fall".
But not because of Kitty Smelly - - - if anything, the skunk odor from her long track record as a reckless biographer will rub off on Kerry, not Bush. It's good for Bush that this is all hitting now, rather than (like the last second DWI news in 2000) a few days before the only poll that counts.
My sense about the Kitty Kelly book is that the lunatic fringe of American society already believe the absolute worst about GW Bush...her book will only preach to the proverbial choir, and will add to their hysteria, which actually frightens away the more rational swing voters. Plus, in order for negative news to have an impact, it has to be rooted in truth. Kelly's sack of fiction won't pass the sniff test.
