That decision would have to be up to Ollie North himself, and If he said no, who could blame him?
Oliver North ran for the United States Senate some years ago,against a candidate that wasn't fit to polish Ollie's shoes. Ollie lost that race because he was betrayed by pious bastards in high places within our own party.
Ollie would be the best thing that ever happened to America, either as a Senator, or,as President. He has my support for the Senate (I can't vote in Va) and support and Vote if he should do us the honor of running for President of the USA in 2008. There's no better choice.

He would make an outstanding Senator or President, however, I fear his image is permanently tarnished.

Maybe, but I believe that many have come to the realization that those who tarnished his image, exemplify the proverbable case of the pot calling the kettle black.
