I got a call from Billy! He's in Japan. I don't know exactly where. Some of the guys went in to Tokyo, but he had midnight liberty, so couldn't go. He went out with about 60 guys from the boat, and had his first run-in with shore patrol. Nobody got hauled in, but it was great fun. As he told me the story, I clearly pictured John Wayne in the middle of it all.

I will also talk about some of the problems of the GIs toward one another and the hassle with officers.
