I just returned from visiting my parents in Sioux Falls, SD, population about 130,000. It's the largest city in SD and I saw a lot of support for Thune, yard signs, etc. I grew up there and it was always a solid Republican state. Little Tommy kind of came of age political-wise when I was in college. Back then it was farmers and ranchers that wanted their pork-barell $$$$. Now the majority of them despise the guy.
Unfortunately, a big contingent of libs from my home of the last 20 years, Minneapolis, has moved to SD and has become a big influence. SF is becoming a medical center to rival Rochester, MN, which is known for its' quality of care.
Sioux Fall's also hosts Citibank and Sears credit card systems.
Guess I'm trying to say South Dakota isn't some wasteland. But........I got your humor.
SD has 3 EV's, not a heck of a lot.
If my parents have their wishes, and mine, Dasshole will go down in flames.
