Well, ain't we southeast Missourians something else? Popper Bluff? What about Popular Bluffs. Popper Bluff will work as well. You should have been here today! This was the largest Bush rally yet. We challange others to match our support!

What a coincidence. I am from Lafayette, La and a transplant to Cape. I could not attend the rally because of a bad back, but I did work some to help organize it at our local headquarters.

Gosh, I would have loved to have been there. I support Bush/Cheney04 all the way.

I have a wonderful memory of going to a Spiro Agnew rally in Cape Girardeau my senior year. We didn't care a thing about seeing Agnew, we just wanted to get out of school. What a blast!!! About 6 or 7 of us girls were piled into my friends car. Mot of us had lied to get out of school (I guess we were democRATS back then). The driver of the car didn't even have permission to take her car out of town. The engine starting smoking like crazy and we had to pull over and run for our lives. We were afraid the car would burst into flames and explode just like in the movies. Once we knew we weren't going to die, we laughed ourselves silly. Neighbors from our town passed by and gave us a ride the rest of the way. All's well that ends well, except for the girl driving the car. I think she is still grounded.

I grew up in Sikeston and then lived in Cape for 3 years and several years after that lived in the St. Louis area. Stuck outside of New Orleans now, probably forever.

"stuck" outside of New Orleans, you say. My sentiments about being here. Oh, it is a nice town and the folks are great. But, I am tired of kettle beef at festivals and church suppers...you know what I mean? LOL

LOL! I know exactly what you mean. But, believe me it beats the heck out of crawfish any day of the week; and it smells a whole lot better, too. I used to complain about humidity in Missouri. When I moved to Louisiana I learned what humidity really is.

Hold all the polls they're not reflecting the enthusiasm we're seeing at the many rallies.

Kerry's flopping and his crowds or the lack thereof is very telling. Which causes me to wonder how much manipulation is going on to keep Kerry close with Bush.
