I know we have this notion that they are "mean sonsabitches," but I think our troops are the best in the world, though certainly not as brutal.I agree our troops are better than the remains of the Red Army. But, Putin won't be restrained by the RATS or EU to play nice with the Islamofascists. The very last thing al Quaeda should have done was poke the Bear.
They're not the Soviet Union anymore, but they're still the second most powerful country in the world, and they still have tons of nukes. Chechnya and Iran could both be parking lots in 20 minutes if the Russians wanted to.
