Everybody's been jumping on AP for the booing story, but Seth Borenstein of Knight Ridder has a very similar column in all the Knight Ridder newspapers. At least AP has retracted and corrected the original story- Seth has not. The guy is the Health and Technical Issues writer for Knight Ridder but, for whatever reason, he had to add a little editorial comment at the end of his article. If you go to the web page, you will see that this story is dated September 3rd. So, it doesn't look like this reporter is repeating the lie---only that it wasn't corrected on the webpage.

The government pays ex-presidents' medical bills.

This caught my eye-- remembering back to a political zing that Hillary took a couple of days ago:

Talk about taking advantage of a situation for personal or political gain! ...especially as it's not really true in this case: it sounds like this is more of a perk than an insurance policy.
