A census report on religion shows that the Muslim population in the country grew at the rate of 36% between 1991 and 2001.
The Hindu rate of growth was 20.3% in the same period. During 1981-91 the figure was 25.1%.
The Muslim growth rate in the previous decade was 34.5%, according to 'The First Report on Religion'.
Census Commissioner J K Banthia released the report, prepared by the office of the registrar general and census commissioner, in New Delhi on Monday.
He presented a copy to Tarlochan Singh, chairman, Minorities Commission.
At 82.7 crore, Hindus constitute 80.5% of India's population of 102.8 crore.
There are 13.8 crore Muslims, comprising 13.4% of the population, the report said.
CAIR has really got to go. Sooner rather than later.
It's a start, at least.
That and the many Muslim charities that havent yet been tagged as terror fronts..

That is what young women seem to do in Muslin countries (Arab or not). They go to school, get a college education (if they have the brains and money), work a while if they want, get married, work some more if they want, then boom. start the baby machine...and stop the work, stay home and take care of their children.
They breed like guppies up here in Canada.
I'm sure it doesn't help that we send them a nice fat cheque every month (which increases with each child), we subsidize their housing, we provide health care, we fix their teeth, get them glasses so they can see the next thing they want to complain about, taxi them to school, etc.
We provide them with a room in each school (upon demand) that they can go a face in some direction and pray to their false god at a certain time each day. We teach about their unholy days in our schools, and on and on it goes. We even let them settle their own matters under their own laws as set up within our system.
We are such kind people up here...stupid, but kind.
In nature, animals which take better care of their young tend to have less of them.
This is worrysome, but do bear in mind that a good sizeable chunk of that population is serving life prison sentences.
