Thanks!--wasn't familiar with Said. I'm sure all those names would be worth looking into. I highlighted the ones I did because they've come up several times in my research into the VVAW.

Said is/was (I think he may have died, but am not certain) THE most "prominent" Islaonazi in academe and you need to look up what he's been up to.There's even a Said "chair" at Columbia now.:-(

Update on Chomsky: he was also a participant in the War Crimes Tribunal started by the Bertrand Russell Peace Foundation, which preceded and initiated what became the Winter Soldier Investigation. Other participants had connections to the KGB, the World Peace Council, European Communist parties, and the Institute for Policy Studies. Chomsky helped prepare records of the Tribunal for a 1971 book called Prevent the Crime of Silence: Reports from the Sessions of the International War Crimes Tribunal Founded by Bertrand Russell, which was co-edited by IPS chairman of the board Peter Weiss, a prominent figure in the National Lawyers Guild who was later the VVAW's lawyer.

way to go......who said the right was all about freedom of expression...thanks for being my thought policeman It is fun to have B&N order new books for Chomsky, only to have ever more scattered about the store. The publisher must think they are doing gangbuster business. Eventually when they realize there are over a thousand unsold books that were paid for, B&N will cut Chomsky off at the knees.
