It appears to me that, after the Malkin ambush, Rove and company decided it was time to smash the media's biased concept of conservatives. I believe the talking points must have gone out...don't take it anymore.

Long overdue - and not a moment to lose. This message also goes for the average conservative conversationalist at the watercooler. You will never get points for conceding anything you believe to a liberal. Liberals are intellectually dishonest - and have a brazenly overt attitude of "Whatever we do or say is justified - because our cause is just, and anything goes to get enough power to cram it down people's throats."

When you finally rise to their numerous glove slaps - and tell it like it is - you have the advantage. Because their positions are based on demonstrable lies and wilfull ignorance of truths unhelpful to their manifesto. It is cathartic to say to a liberal - "The fact that you and the MSM choose to ignore XYZ does not mean it didn't happen. And just because the MSM says something is true or false - does not mean it is. I do not accept your versions of events nor your spin - we stand or fall on the facts...and so will you, Kerry and the house of cheating cards your cause is based on."

Be prepared for a lot of screaming on their part, though. Because like spoiled brats - they seek to defeat all reason by going nuclear.

I believe the following quote will perfectly describes the left.

"At the core of liberalism is the spoiled child - miserable, as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied, demanding, ill-disciplined, despotic and useless. Liberalism is a philosphy of sniveling brats." -- P.J. O'Rourke

"This message also goes for the average conservative conversationalist at the watercooler. You will never get points for conceding anything you believe to a liberal."

I changed jobs back at the beginning of the summer. In my previous job, I worked with a lot of people who were very vocal in their opposition to the president (I didn't hear any of them complaining about their tax rebates though, or the increase in the child credits), some of whom thought the sun rose and set on Bill Clinton. Most knew that I supported the president and even that I'd been one of the people who protested Hillary when she was on her Lying History tour. It wasn't addressed too much. As you might expect, these were not the sharpest tools in the shed.

On my new job, I have made several off-handed and politically incorrect remarks, and had no sense of being inappropriate at all. I have also discussed some conservative issues, without putting a political face on them, and have found mostly agreement. On a few occasions, I've been unable to resist throwing a shot at Kerry or Clinton or praising the president for his handling of the war. Again, no sense of having crossed any line. Even though by policy, we're not allowed to promote any political party in the workplace, I do get the feeling that I'm among conservatives, for the most part. It's a nice change. Outside of work, I make no secret about where I stand, either. In fact, I think I might take a ride down to the Republican headquarters here this morning and see if they're open for business. I need some yard signs.

It is that Hegelian Dielectic. Thesis, Antithesis, Synthesis.

Like this:

Liberal Media: You're a racist!

Trent Lott: No I'm Not.

Liberal Media: You're a racist! You're a racist! You're a racist! You're a racist! You're a racist!

Trent Lott: Well, I'm really not, but since you're so adamant about it, I'll step down and spend more time on civil rights matters.

Liberal Media: See? He's a racist.
