There's Something Going On in GOP vs. MediaCrats
9/6/04

Posted on 09/06/2004 5:00:06 AM PDT by Timeout

Even before Zell Miller jumped Chris Matthews last week, I noticed something had changed. During the entire week, when an interviewer colored a question with anti-GOP shiboleths, the person being interviewed shot it down...aggressively.

I believe Karl Rove and gang perceives a wounded enemy after the damage the MediaCrats did to themselves over the Swifty story. The blogoshpere whipped their a$$ in that case.

I think the turning point was the Michelle Malkin interview on Hardball. It was such a grand display of the left's rhetorical trick of twisting what a conservative says and mistating their position over and over and over. Michelle was caught flat-footed by it...she should have directly challenged Chris's misquote. I think the Bushies said "never again". Note that Zell Miller, in his tirade against Matthews, referred back to the Malkin case.

It appears to me that, after the Malkin ambush, Rove and company decided it was time to smash the media's biased concept of conservatives. I believe the talking points must have gone out...don't take it anymore. Slap 'em when they preface a question with some insult to conservatives. When David Gergen tried the old trick of tying Zell to southern racists, Laura Ingraham jumped on him like a junkyard dog and forced him to retreat.

It happened time and again last week...conservatives refusing to move on until the host retracted some implication that the GOP is mean, heartless, racist, etc. This is new to me. Did anyone else notice it?

When you read the transcript of the interview it's easy to see why Zell was mad. Matthews asked questions with implied answers and never gave Miller a chance at rebuttal.

But Matthews was completely at a loss why Zell responded the way he did. He was clueless.

"When President Bush carried his copy of Bernard Goldberg's 'Bias' ... with the cover face exposed ... the media screamed about the slight."

Pretty subtle way of giving them the finger. Heh!

I did.. but republicans are autistic mostly.. They watch theirs fingers in the light as the conversation proceeds usually. A direct question, "Are YOU a socialist ?" should be the normal response to most mediacrats. The word socialist should become a byword.. a "dis".. That is the bottom line with them, most talking heads. They want some degree of government socialism. Ask them right out if they are socialists, being prepared for the canard to communism. The response being ," Well communism IS socialism, but what degree of a socialist are you a communist or merely a social doo-gooder".. This conversation must happen or the polarization in American politics will never be cured.. Ann Coulter fully exhumed Joseph McCarthy in her book "Treason" and gave him the burial with honors he rightly deserved..

Must be conservative political pundits are very ignorant of the truth of American socialism and are scared girly men to enjoin the REAL conversation or cannot handel the liberals intellectually.

Beating about the BUSH, deathly afraid of the REAL conversation with ANY LIBERAL.. by the way MOST democrats have no idea of what socialism "IS"... and not a few republicans EITHER. A national dialog on the real issue should happen because there "IS" only ONE..

Be prepared... republicans are aborting their next generation as are the democrats... but the democrats are importing theirs from Mexico and other places.. tickled pink for all the socialism they can beg, borrow, or steal.

Then again republicans are autistic and will probably watch uninterested with fingers in the light as this senario proceeeds.. and become even more "moderate", meaning in league with the democrat party.

You're my hero! Thanks for the info. I've just emailed it to everyone I know and hope everyone will do the same.

Out of 163 votes he should have cast, John Kerry managed to show up to vote only 18 times in 2004!!!!! And this cheeseball wants to be the LEADER of our country? I know his excuse will be that he was out campaigning for President, but his absence is compounded on what is already a very dismal voting record for a U.S. Senator when he wasn't running for the highest office in the land.

And this cheeseball wants to be the leader of our country? Earth to John Kerry, the job of President of the United States is 24/7, 52 weeks a year. It is obvious, sir, that you are not fit for the job. Give it up already and go get a massage, pedicure and manicure. It does girly men like you wonders when you're down and out.
