No other immigrants are so bold about declaring their culture as superior or worth maintaining ahead of Anglo Saxon American culture as are the Latinos. They think of themselves as a nation within a nation wherever they go. Most of our illegal immigrants are Latino. We've just got too much of them coming in to be assimilated. Pretty soon they're going to start trying to assimilate us! To late. The pandering/greed at the corportate/business level is stunning. In many regions now, to be a manager or supervisor the *demand* bilingual/Spanish.
If anyone does not believe this, go to some of the biggest job forums. Read it and weep.
The "bilingual" (=Spanish, not French, German, Italian, Russian...whatever) requirement is all over the
government jobs on the central coast.
It's historic. The people of a supposed democracy are being physically deprived of their land and nation by the government they elected to serve them.
