I have the solution...

Putin needs to react harshly against ALL of the countries who hosted terrorists that were involved in this attack. (unlike what Bush did)

The first thing that needs to happen is to acknowledge that the problem is with the religion, not the people (Bush failed to do this).

Second, All countries who played a part in this action (represented by the number of citizens that participated from various countries) should have that number of cities destroyed.

Third, Mecca needs to be destroyed. I would suggest a nuclear strike.

Forth, all mosques in Russia need to be destroyed. The religion needs to be outlawed in Russia.

If Putin does a tenth of what you say, there will be no denying that a world war is raging. When was the last time the Russian army attacked another country--Afghanistan?

A bold military move by Putin would probably help his standing with the Russian people. They have to be feeling terribly demoralized right now. I am astonished that more people in the United States do not recognize the significance of the world's second largest nuclear power being ready to launch a foreign war as big as our own invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. We can't tell yet exactly where and how Putin will strike. But we can be confident that he won't be timid.
