"The Mujahideen [Chechen rebels] would not have wanted to kill those people, because it is strictly forbidden as a Muslim to deliberately kill women and children. It is the fault of the Russians,"

This reminds me of the Twain novel, Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's court. This guy can just say anything, no matter how ludicrous, and his followers just accept it as fact. There is no reasoning, no critical thinking, no logic in these people:

the Iman, the Koran says so, I guess it is true!

Contrast this to Christianity, where the basis of the entire religion, Jesus, asked everyone to question everything he did and said. I just do not get it.

beheading is much too gentle.
i remember seeing an iron maiden in the tower. that would be a better way to deal with this "cleric". the door closes slowly, and hundreds of spikes slowly poke into the guy.
i think we should all respect the culture of the brits, and revive the iron maiden.

If had the power I would deport him and and his family.

I would deport him to the Russian town that the massacre took place in and call ahead and tell the parents what he said and what time his plane would arrive.

And where are all these "moderate" Muslims that can't seem to speak out against these horrors? I'm beginning to think they don't exist.

Whatever god this “cleric” serves, is obviously not the God of Abraham whom they seem to claim as their father.

On the other hand Jesus, whom they at least acknowledge as a prophet, plainly said that fathers need to avoid even provoking their children and that if someone offends “ one of the little ones” it would have been “better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.” (Mar 9:42, Mt.18:6, Luke 17:2)

I suppose that the righteous thing to do is for Mothers to begin praying for God to prepare the “millstone events” for those who have designs on their children. It’s time for holy anger to make consequences obvious to those who harm the innocents including those who delude children into believing that to die for the purpose of killing others is upright or laudable.

He has since been given leave by the Home Office to remain in Britain for five years but the Government is reviewing his status.
Some brave Briton should review this person's status... with extreme prejudice.

From the article you linked:

"The fatwa was issued by the country's committee of Muslim scholars, or ulema. Although it had called for the release of reporters Georges Malbrunot and Christian Chesnot in the past, it had refused to condemn the kidnapping and execution of hostages from countries that backed the US invasion."

Yes, your're right, the Iron Maiden would be so much better than an axe across the neck. I think in the Middle Ages the English practiced burning at the steak. That might deter some terrorists.
