In this war, Moscow would like to see as sincere and unequivocal support from the West as the West has received from Russia since 9/11.
Russia was unequivocal in its support for Iraq, and what about Syrian resolutions? I'd like to see stronger cooperation from THEIR corner.
They noted we haven't had a major terror attack since 9-11, they refuse to accept the reason why. This isn't to say we won't be attacked again, but if we are they understand flames will be on their heels in quick fashion. Beyond that, they understand their havens to operate will be further shortened. That's the kicker. It is one thing to have individual terrorists taken out. Quite another to lose one friendly country after another for your playground.
This whole article reeks of selective amnesia which several posters have tried to correct by pointing out the times Russia has not only left us high and dry in the WOT but has actually aided the enemy (Iran, for example).
I hope we make sure that our cooperation is now fully reciprocated (as in: help us in Iraq and stop helping Iran!) Otherwise, they can reap what they sow!
