I have maintained all along that these animals are simply cowards. The attack only soft targets, especially women and children. I think this maggot's behavior illustrates my point quite well. If he were a brave man, doing what he honestly thought his god wanted him to do his response would be, "I praise my god, kill me if you want. I serve him. You can kill me, but you can't kill my soul!" But no, instead he begs for his life! Doesn't sound to me like he has much faith in his god or what he was doing in name of that god. Contrast this with the way the Italian hostage in Iraq, telling his killers he wanted no blindfold and telling them "Watch how an Italian dies"! I wonder if a worldwide effort to brand these killers as cowards would affect them, the seem so concerned about their image!
Don't call him an animal, animals kill to survive, he is a human, and only humans are capable of acts such as this.
