BESLAN, Russia (CNN) -- Russian state-run television says the government has a man in custody who was part of the group responsible for the deadly school siege in Beslan.
The network showed footage of the man, whose name was not given, being heavily guarded by commando forces.
The suspect, who spoke on camera, proclaimed his innocence.
"Of course I pitied the children, I swear to Allah. I have children myself. I didn't shoot. I swear to Allah," he said. "I don't want to die. I swear to Allah, I want to live."

The funny thing is that CNN is trying to appeal to whomever their customer is and increase the outrage. To me, it means that coward baby killer is singing like a bird. Sweet music.
Good post. He went into a elementary school with other terrorists, armed to the teeth and helped them orchestrate a massacre. Now he cries "I'm really a good guy." Sort of a "Who you gonna believe?.... Me or your lying eyes?" He's gonna die a much deserved very slow and painful death.

If this had happened in America the captured terrorist scum would be screaming about prisoner abuse and demanding a lawyer. The ACLU, Amnesty International, and MSM would be throwing hissy fits. Protestors would be in the streets accusing Bush of inhuman cruelty and political oppression.
The Russians don't play that. This guy is dead and he knows it and no doubt the commandos have indulged a little pay-back already.

This reminds me of the time a Mexican shot and killed a Mexican Police officer and ran to the US for safety. He was apprehended by the US Border Patrol and they were promptly returning him to Mexico. Talking to the Mexican Consulate, he wanted his rights, and a lawyer. The Consulate told him do you really think you will be alive tommorrow to need them?
