September 5, 2004 -- C onvention footnote: In a week full of openly hostile and sometimes just downright bizarre pronouncements from the talking heads, one particularly nonsensical comment stands out.
On Thursday night, ABC anchor Peter Jennings felt the need to explain to viewers that two protestors had been forcibly removed by security officers from the floor of the Republican Convention when they tried to disrupt President Bush's acceptance speech.

Did he inhale through his teeth, shift his head and shoulders, and raise his brows in his patented 'oh my what hypocrisy' body language?

I guess that means he wouldn't mind if a few freepers walked into his studio with some signs and chanting.

Earth to jennings (small case j for small minds), how is this for things they could be charged with:
Trespassing
Disorderly conduct
Unlawful assembly (depending on local laws)
Resisting arrest
Disturbing the peace
Come on lawyers and cops I bet you can think of others. Clearly the job requirements for network anchor is not very demanding on the intellectual level.

Jennings is not a college graduate.
Jennings is a world class joke to ABC,
only beloved by the Palestinian terrorists he beds.

Jennings seemingly couldn't understand why the Bush-bashers were being escorted out. Weren't they merely exercising their First Amendment rights? What about Bush's First Amendment right to speak??? Jennings is such a partisan hack. If the reverse had happened to Kerry, you can bet Jennings wouldn't have made this comment.
To: MassRepublicanFlyersFan
Actually, they were not exercising their First Amendment rights. They were denying President Bush his right to exercise his First Amendment rights. Next, Peter will be bleatibg that he is being denied his First Amendment rights becuase we are not listening to him.

I suppose if got some falsfied credantials to get on the ABC lot, then started shouting Jennings down during the evening news, he would throw me the thumbs up for exercising my first amendment rights.

Talk about a girlie man. Peter Jennings and his pseudo-urbane posings are getting very old. He should just join the Kerry campaign like Dan the dope Rather has.

Good. Why not try it?
Seriously, conservatives tend to be somewhat more civil than liberals, and we shouldn't ruin our reputation.
