These children were so skinny and frail to begin with, that enough is sad, but they were probably thrilled to be going to school. The survivors are damaged for the rest of their life. Heartbreaking to say the least.

Please don't insult the animal kingdom. Even maggots have a purpose in life, these Terrorists do not. They are demons from below Hell and have no life left in their souls and hearts.

Remove the "period" from the end of it, and see if it goes thru. Mine hasn't bounced back.

TROP. They should be hunted down like dogs, killed and buried in pigskin along with those that express their support of such atrocities. Kids are precious, no matter what religion of which they are a part; untainted by adult ignorances and beliefs, children can be led down the right path. TROP is trying to even taint their children toward hatred which attests to how rancid and putrid the TROP has become.

re: "I wasn't sure I should post this"
You handled it properly. You provided sufficient warning that the images were graphic. The photojournalist(s) who took these images would want them to be seen as widely as possible. There is great sadness in taking images of this type of carnage. Newspapers struggle every day with issues of which pictures should be used and not used. Let me assure you there is GREAT thought and consideration given to the choice of art to accompany stories. I recall a situation at my paper a while back. We had a shooter covering a Little League tourney. He heard some commotion behind him in the stands and when he looked he saw they were pointing out an apartment nearby that had smoke and flame coming from every window. It was right across the street from the game so he was there before the first fire equipment even arrived. He got a great photo of rescue placing the elderly occupant of the apartment in an ambulance. It would certainly have been the lead art for the story. There was some question as whether or not she would live through the night. If she passed away they did not want this photo being on the front page. At deadline she was still touch and go and the image never saw the light of day. They also would not publish a picture of a sheet covered body if there was any body part or blood visible. Despite the popular myth that newspapers are looking for dramatic picture to sell newspapers. It's simply not so. The most pitched battles I've ever seen in the newsroom have been over the choice of art to be used. The senior editor has the final word, but a picture has had to get by several other layers of editors to be used.
Thank you for sharing the link. The pictures are powerful! The are there for those who choose to view them, others have plenty of warning not to go there.
