I read the entire article. This is how the article described the terrorists:

men and women, extremists, attackers, hostage-takers, captors, rebels, guerillas, cruel people, ruthless enemy, the group, adversaries, militants, and bandits.

This is how the article described the situation:

crisis, siege, tragedy, invasion.

Therein lies the problem. Not calling this what it is: a terrorist act carried out by Isalmic terrorists.

Bandits? Where did that come from?

The Russians always refer to chechen terrorists as bandits without souls.
