Based only on what's seen here, it looks like he signed up for another six years.

Signing up for an additional six years makes absolutely no sense.

Kerry was a very public figure attacking the active military.

Why would he sign up for an additional six years?

Could you even sign up for an addiitonal six years?

I've never seen his DD214 from 1978. Kerry's web site only has letter from the SecNav, not the official discharge.

If he's a member of the American Legion, he must submit a copy of his DD214 to join.
