"Pandemic" refers almost always to a widespread disease. So she's evidently referring to a woman who is a widespread disease. Maybe "Typhoid Mary"? Who knows? If you're a lunatic, I guess the best thing to do is just call yourself a "poet" and hope people don't notice.

Well, pandemic can mean "widespread", so maybe it means "fat" woman. LOL :-)

What's a "pandemic woman?"

A walking petri dish who cracks mirrors with a glance, was dumped recently by her last activist boyfriend/girlfriend/animalfriend and doesn't have this month's rent, hence the anger at Bush and men in general.

A pandemic is a disease that affects people or animals over an extensive geographical area (from Greek pan all + demos people). Technically speaking it should cover the whole globe and affect everyone.

Concerning "pandemic", Webster says it can mean "universal" or "general". So pandemic woman might be an attempt to say "womanhood". The speaker was obviously stretching to sound poetic.

When someone claims to be a poet, but truly has no talent, a common tactic (in my observation) is to use garbled language that cannot be understood. You appreciate it the same way you appreciate abstract art: You may not understand it, but if you learn to nod at the right time and use the right buzz words, you will be acceptable in the right crowds. Then you can scoff at those who openly admit that they don't get it.
