Allahu akbar
Other Commonly Used Spellings: ALLAHOO AKBAR,ALLAHU AKBER,ALLAHOO AKBER,ALLAH AKBAR
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This statement is said by Muslims numerous times. During the call for prayer, during prayer, when they are happy, and wish to express their approval of what they hear, when they slaughter an animal, and when they want to praise a speaker, Muslims do say this expression of Allahu Akbar. Actually it is most said expression in the world. Its meaning: "Allah is the Greatest." Muslims praise Allah in every aspect of life; and as such they say Allahu Akbar.

(Allah is the Greatest)
While the "our" isn't there, it could certainly be understood. The history of islam - erecting mosques on the very site of Hindu temples, the Jewish temple, and Christian churches - would confirm that it is the terrorist muslim perspective.
Not by Muslims. They're strict about monotheism. Akbar is just a comparative (and superlative) form of kabir, which means big or great.
When the angel said Jesus would be called "son of the most high," he wasn't suggesting there were other gods not quite so high.
The text adorning the "dome of the rock" was obviously deliberately chosen to stick a finger in the eye of Christians. The site was chosen to do the same to the Jews.
The fact that they build their mosques on the very site of temples/churches is a testimony to their efforts to enforce their brand of monotheism by asserting that "allah is greatest".
When the angel said Jesus would be called "son of the most high," he wasn't suggesting there were other gods not quite so high.
Psalms 95
3 For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.
Jeremiah 46
25The LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: I am about to bring punishment on Amon god of Thebes, on Pharaoh, on Egypt and her gods and her kings, and on those who rely on Pharaoh.
Okay. :)
