Like most authoritarians, you see State powers where they are not needed and never delegated.
Actually until we developed a BIGTIME problem with runnaway judges who usurp the power of the states, I would have preferred that these issues be resolved at the state level. Today, advocating for state rights is advocating for judicial decision making. And therein lies the problem.
