He says procreation is the "POINT" of marriage.

You should reread his statement. He says procreation is the point of the "INSTITUTION" of marriage. Not the point of marriages.

You're right. But I don't know how important this distinction really is to the argument.

I mean, what's the difference between the "INSTITUTION" of marriage, and marriage?
